Idanre Hills
Idanre Hill, also called Oke Idanre, rises to about 914 metres (3,000 feet) above sea level in Idanre, Ondo State. It sits on a Precambrian igneous batholith about 500 million years old, and the Idanre people have lived among its boulders for nearly a thousand years.
Sites on and around the hill include the Owa's Palace, the Old Court, shrines, a belfry and burial grounds. Idanre Hill was added to UNESCO's World Heritage Tentative List in 2007.
